DUDEPLANET.COM ORIGINAL ARTWORK HOSTING POLICY:
Original artwork will be hosted by the Webmaster of Dudeplanet.com only if the art piece is original and submitted by the original artist. No reproductions will be accepted. Original artists will be permitted to retain their original art piece until point of sale, at which time the artist will communicate with the proposed buyer to complete the sale. Dudeplanet.com shall not be held liable for buyer nonpayment NOR seller withholding of artwork, nor any other noncompliance issue related to the sale of hosted artwork. It is our policy to host a digital image, artist's name, media format and size, and requested price of the art piece on our website, but Dudeplanet.com will not be responsible for the sale of said item(s) resulting from the hosting of said art piece.
To submit an original artwork, please scan the art piece into a computer (digital photographs will also be accepted, provided that the resolution is of acceptable quality. Please remember that the file must be in JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) format (*.jpg), and the file size must not exceed 800 kilobytes (kB).
Once the file has been scanned or photographed, email the JPEG file to us at mail@dudeplanet.com. Please include the following information in the email: 1) Your name and geographic location including city name (e.g., Bill Smith, Plantation, TX); 2) A valid contact email address (this email address will be tested by the Webmaster and validity proven prior to hosting of your piece) --- please note that this contact information will be forwarded to interested buyers in the event that they contact Dudeplanet.com with a request to purchase your art piece; 3) The exact size (in inches or centimeters, specified) of the art piece; 4) the art medium of the piece (i.e., oil painting, watercolor, acrylic, crayon, marker, blood, etc. --- Please note, if the art medium is blood, the source of the blood must be specified. Art pieces composed of human blood or other materials obtained from a human body other than that of the artist will not be accepted under any circumstances.); 5) The base of the art piece (i.e., artist's paper, stretched canvas, mock canvas board, cardboard, notebook paper, cocktail napkin, etc.); 6) The price you are requesting for this art piece (in American dollars, please); 7) Approximate shipping costs of the item to U.S. destinations and abroad (if you wish to make your piece available worldwide).
Please note that Dudeplanet.com will host your art piece for a period of one (1) year, or until it has sold, whichever is the shorter length of time. Webmaster reserves the right to display your piece after sale as a "Sold" item, although your email address will not be made available to inquiries after sale point. The fee for hosting your art piece is $10.00 for one year ($5.00 for each additional piece), and payments will only be accepted through PayPal. Fee negotiation will occur between the artist and webmaster following original submission via email to mail@dudeplanet.com.
Your piece will not be available for direct sale through Dudeplanet.com. Interested buyers will be allowed to link directly to your email address from the DudePlanet site and contact you regarding a potential sale of your piece. The Webmaster reserves the right to reduce the resolution and/or size of the hosted image to maximize hosting potential. Please rest assured that we will attempt to display your original art piece within one week of submission. The Webmaster reserves the right to deny hosting to anyone and any piece, without exception.
